The Concept
At Northern Bliss, we believe in creating a sanctuary that feels like home, where every woman can unwind, recharge, and grow. Experience the cozy embrace of hygge—the Danish art of coziness—as you wrap yourself in soft blankets, sip hot tea, unwind in the rejuvenating warmth of a Finnish sauna, and savor delicious, soul-warming gourmet vegetarian meals.
Picture yourself in a warm, inviting space, surrounded by like-minded women, sharing stories and laughter by a crackling fire. Guided by experienced co-facilitators Katie and Irina, you'll explore yoga, breathwork, movement, sound healing, art workshops and group singing practices designed to help you find your inner strength and express your most authentic voice—all while enjoying the simple, nourishing pleasures of winter.
This retreat isn’t about having a "perfect" voice or hitting the right notes; it's about the power of your voice as a reflection of your unique self. What makes your voice special is not its tone or pitch, but the emotions it carries and the story it tells. Rediscover parts of yourself you may have forgotten, rekindling dreams that have been quietly waiting for you to listen.
The Place
Villa Saga
The retreat center is located in Kirkkonummi - 25 min drive from Helsinki. The space is harmonious and functional - it has plenty of room as well as a sense of homelike cozyness. The three story house is luminous with plenty of windows and is decorated with light, natural materials.

Surrounded by nature and the Finnish countryside, with forests only a few steps from the front door. You can easily have a walk under the trees and venture deep into the forest.
Accomodation
There are 4 bedrooms with 4-3-2 beds on the 2nd floor of the villa - a cozy and quiet area with extra places to relax. All the beds are separate and have nice curtains to keep some privacy.
The first floor has a beautiful space for yoga and practices, a fireplace with a beautiful window view, dining room.
There is also a sauna and palju that we will use during our stay.
Food
We will take care of providing gourmet vegetarian meals, mostly vegan and gluten-free. We pay special attention to nutrition at this retreat, so that you can have healthy, tasty, and comforting food. We can accommodate any dietary requirements including allergies or food restrictions.

Meet Katie and Irina

Katie and Irina met in at YogaTime studio.

Two kindred international souls with a love for teaching yoga, traveling, and connecting people, we organized our first joint retreat "Northen Bliss" in August 2024. We have gathered 16 women from all over the world and had a wonderful time practicing, discovering finish nature, and connecting. You can read some testimonials and check the photos down.

And we are inspired to invite you to the second chapter of "Northen bliss" Discover Your Inner Truth", where we will combine our talents and passion for health and healing and spend time together. Join us!

Irina

Teaching yoga, playing with sounds, dancing, and cooking healthy delicious food!

I am based in Finland (and have lived in various places around the world, I speak four languages and love to travel. What I love about Finland is its nature and calmness.

My life's work is to help guide people to their internal beauty and empowering sensitivity through yoga, sound healing, meditation, breathwork, and nutrition.

I own a cozy yoga studio in Aurinkolahti (Helsinki). Will be happy to know you!

Vinyasa yoga, hiking, journaling, counseling, and winter swimming!

I am from the US and have lived in Finland for three years. What I love about Finland is its fresh water, air, and reverence for stillness.

My life's work is to help others find strength in both body and mind. Through trauma-informed yoga and polyvagal theory counseling I work to create refuge and renewal for caretakers and change-makers to be their best selves.

    Arrival at 17-18:00 on Friday, departure at 14:00 on Sunday.

  • Transfer

    Public transport. You can take a train to Kirkkonummi or Masala station and bus (906 or 907) from there. Bus station 100m from Villa Saga. These busses do not run Saturday or Sunday. Masala train station is 3km away from Villa Saga, so you can bike or take a taxi from there. Walking is not a great option unfortunately as there is no foot path on the road.

    By car. 25 minute drive from Helsinki (Kamppi). Plenty of parking space on the yard.
FAQ
  • Can I come alone?
    Sure! You can come alone or with a friend. We have a special friend discount - asl about it. Most of the participants come alone and have new connections and friends after retreats.
  • Will this time be enough to rest and recconect?
    We have an intense program with lots of practices to make the process useful and effective! Based on our experience the weekend is a good time to reboot your system!
  • I do now have a car, how I can get to the place?
    The villa is accessable by public transport, but we always ask participants to carpool each other for arrival and departure.
  • I am not vegetarian. I am afraid to be hungry.
    Do not worry. We think that vegetarian food is important for retreats. We will take special care to ensure that you get all the nutrients and feel satisfied by the taste and quality of food! But you can always bring a few snacks with you just in case.
  • I never did yoga before
    We take this into account by giving the variations and explaning all techniques during the retreats.
